Discover your Passion | Paint your Profession

In order to create a painting, artists need certain "tools"-brushes, paper or canvas, a medium, etc..  At times, when they begin a work of art, they start with only a stroke of color, not knowing how the painting will end up. Clients begin the process of career development, not knowing where the journey will end, but given the proper tools and with a great facilitator, will discover their passion and paint their perfect profession.

The Goals

  • Identify skills, values, interests, and barriers 

  • Middle/High School Students: identify five careers that match the above parameters

  • Medical Students: explore post-graduate fields of study and specialization

  • Discover programs of studies at specific universities, residency programs, trade schools, etc., that fulfill career development needs

The Technique

  • Intake interview will be completed by client and answers will be discussed

  • Age appropriate assessment tools will be administered to determine personality code, values, skills and interests. 

  • Motivational interviewing will be used to assist the client in taking ownership of their career development
