Passionate about meaningful careers

Leo Landry, Jr. MD
Career Development Facilitator

Early Life
When I was a child, my paternal grandmother correctly predicted that I would either be an attorney, priest, or doctor. It became apparent in high-school that medicine was the path for me. I graduated from Tulane Medical School in 1975, and then completed a residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in anesthesia for heart surgery at Harvard and the Massachusetts General Hospital, completing my studies in 1979.

Discovering  A New Direction
After a number of years in a busy private practice, I began to search for a less stressful career. Working with two wonderful career development professionals, I eventually discovered that career coaching was for me. I received my certification as a Career Development Facilitator through the National Career Development Association, of which I am an active member.

Love of Art
I began painting about 15 years ago, having seen an energetic watercolorist on TV. He made it look fun and easy. My first watercolor was muddy and childlike, but I had fun! I kept reading, took a few lessons, and attempted more and more paintings. I enjoy the creative process of using form and color to produce an image that portrays light and interest - something about color itself energizes. I hope you enjoy some of my recent work that is featured on this website.
